We are now taking New Enrolments
NZ is has now moved into the ORANGE in the traffic light system to respond to the detection of COVID19 (Omicron) in the community.
In ORANGE we offer telehealth consultations (phone/video) or In person (face to face) consultations. Dr Nadhila will conduct both in person and telehealth consultations on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. Dr Praveen will conduct only Telehealth consultations on Thurs & Fridays.
COVID 19 has changed the way we do business. The goal of these changes is to limit the spread of COVID 19 in our community. When the case numbers do increase, which is inevitable, our goal is to limit disruptions to our services through these changes which we hope will help us tide over the wave of community cases expected over the coming weeks.
General Practices like ours are expected to work according to the (evolving) advice/regulations from the Ministry of Health, the local DHB and other regulatory authorities. These regulations have been put in place to keep clients and the health care teams safe from COVID 19 infections. It includes measures of prudence to ensure operations of the clinic suffer minimal disruption should a member of your health care team acquire the infection.
We wish to highlight that our team has worked tirelessly over almost 2 years now to keep abreast of the changes to keep our community safe from COVID 19. We appreciate the support from clients who understand it has been a mammoth task to keep clinic operations functioning without disruption over this period of time.
Team members face challenges similar to yourselves in their personal lives' relating to change due to COVID 19. So the next time you make contact with one of our team members it would go a long way to reflect that change has been imposed upon us by COVID 19 and no doubt we will get through this but we need to work on it together.
All consultations will be conducted remotely first (triage consultations) for the duration of the RED Traffic Light System. If the clinician (Nurse/Doctor) deems an in-person consultation necessary he/she will organize this for the client. Under the RED Traffic Light System the decision for the need for a face-face or in-person consultation can not be based on preference. The decision is based on clinical requirement as per the clinician.
Remote consultations could be via the following:
Please state your preference when you book the appointment
All clinics will be working to regulations but may have certain differences in the way they provide services which is dependent on many factors including the practice set-up (physical set-up) and the size of the team. Our team being small with 2 GPs, 1 Registered Nurse, 2 Medical Receptionists and 1 Practice Manager we have adapted the changes to suit our team. The goal here is to ensure that the team members also do not acquire the infection. As an example, if even one member acquires the COVID 19 infection there would restrictions in the services we are able to provide to our clients.
So, we request that clients to be understanding of the challenges we face as service providers and to work with us through this pandemic. We hope that the coming weeks are the 'last dance' of the COVID 19 virus and that we are able to return to normal (although a new normal) which allows for a return to the more personal consultation style with all consultations becoming in-person consultations as they were prior to the pandemic.
